I've been searching for a solution and am not certain how to ask for it.
Have a form that has questions with multiple choice.
want each selection to have a particular value
when the user completes the form - it tells them their score (would be within a range) and gives them a text rating - like: genius, average, find a tutor (not actual)
Is this a forms solution? anyone know of a module that does such?
just trying to think of a solution

Is This Similar To What You Want?
Here is an example like what I think you mean:

I used the Webform module and some jQuery to make it work.

Quiz module
Quiz module is one of the older projects on drupal.org, which would seem to describe what you're looking for. Don't know much about it personally though.
that's it
Mike -- that is exactly what I am looking for

pollfield
I'd also recommend the CCK enabled pollfield module, which would allow you to do something like the example provided. Don't get me wrong, webform is great too, it's all about weighing if you need your questions/responses to actually be "nodes."
I have been rethinking this project and solution -
Thanks everyone for your comments -- but the more I look at this and your ideas, I am beginning to think this may be more than a forms solution.
This is a process that a user pays to register for access to participate.
Once they are registered, they are given steps to complete.
Basically those steps or questionnaires are forms that they fill out (one of those being the issue that started this conversation).
Once a step is completed, the next step is highlighted and they would click on that.
The steps have to be done in order, they cannot be peaked at or redone.
is this forms with more jquery? or something else?
any help is appreciated!
