Class Description:
In two days time, you’ll be brought up to speed on Drupal and be ready to tackle your own project. This course is designed both for users with no Drupal experience and those with some experience who want to expand their knowledge and build more complex systems using Drupal. You’ll learn about Drupal’s installation process and have in-depth discussions on managing users, comments, and content. You'll also review Drupal's block system for positioning elements on a page, and Drupal's taxonomy system to categorize your content.

On the first day, significant time is devoted to creating new types of content using the Content Construction Kit (CCK). You'll learn when to create a new type for your data, and exploring field types, widgets, and the corresponding settings.

The second day is dedicated entirely to CCK and Views. Views is a powerful tool that is used to create custom lists of your site's content on pages, blocks, and RSS feeds around your site. You'll finish the day by creating a photo gallery using special image handling tools.

Prerequisites:
An understanding of the Internet and how websites function is necessary for this course. Previous experience using a content management system such as Wordpress or Joomla! is helpful but not neecssary. A working knowledge of HTML and CSS is also beneficial.
