User group meeting
So what should we do at our next meetup?
I could possibly talk a little bit about Drupal 7 since I have it installed on Ross Hunter's personal blog But I sure could not talk for an hour on it, and I really don't know much about the changes under the hood.
I would like to see something like
Plus we have talked before about many other topics. It would be nice if someone would volunteer to do a presentation.
Let's try to get this locked down by the end of the week.

My opinion
I would definitely LOVE to see Module Development 101. I think that's a great topic to have. If I knew more about it, I'd offer to hold the presentation, but I don't know too much about it yet. Hence why I'd love to see it on the docket.

Show and tell
OK, not a lot of response going on here. Maybe we will just do a show and tell where anyone can talk about something for 15 minutes? I've got a view that I think is pretty cool I can show, and a few modules I could talk about. Other people can share similarly.
We can figure it out when we get there. We will talk about something Drupal related tomorrow at 6pm.
Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

That sounds good to me. I
That sounds good to me. I don't imagine I'd ever create a module, but I'd like to see how it works. Otherwise, I'm fine to see what other people are doing. I've just completed a site for Dwelling Place http://www.dwellingplace.org but there's nothing particularly new for anyone there in this group anyway.
I could show the way I use an "argument" to have a particular slide show only appear on relevant pages.
I'm always interested in learning more about theming--and although I'm familiar with function intercepts, I'd like to learn more. This seems like a fairly intermediate level thing to learn in Drupal.
But I'm sure we'll learn a lot from each other just by talking and showing what we're working on . . . . perhaps let the discussion take its own path.

Hi
I'm new and can't attend this meeting. Any idea when the next meeting will be, and/or about how often do you meet?
Thanks, looking forward to the next one

Hey
Hey Qwert,
I have been looking for a drupal group in the Lansing area. I think I actually started a group at some point. I would like to attend to see and learn what others are doing. Do you think you could post a map to your location. GR is a bit far to drive but depending on the location I might be able to make it. I love to talk about Drupal but I am by no means an expert. It would definitely be good to network.

Meetup date
When is the next meetup?
It sounds like we have a few things to discuss now, but if we run out of material, I could talk a little bit about database transactions. It's not a Drupal-specific principle but it's important no matter what tool you're using, and in my experience not something enough developers are familiar with.
2nd Monday of every month.
2nd Monday of every month. Next one is Dec. 13th.
I could listen to a talk on db transactions.

Interested in a Drupal project or a fulltime job in Ann Arbor?

I am new to this group - was wondering if anybody interested in a fulltime job opportunity for a Drupal/PHP expert in Ann Arbor.
Also, i have a project where i want help from a Drupal expert (in fact, i need somebody to take this project and run with it).
