Bruce Chezem Bio:
Executive Profile
With a career in information technology going back to 1987- the early days of the internet, I’m quite comfortable with any phase of any kind of IT project. Whether designing new Drupal websites or maintaining older sites or designing graphics or customizing a Drupal module or creating a new theme, the diversity of and innovation in the Drupal community leads to new challenges and opportunities and high enthusiasm for what I do best.
Work
Drupal Website Developer-Project Manager, Community Site Design Group, Carmichael, CA 2010-Today
CSD Group builds eMuni Content Management Systems for small government like cities and counties all over the United States and Canada. eMuni Content Management System is a distribution of the open-source content management platform, Drupal. As Project Manager, it is my responsibility to respond to municipal RFP's and also to help design and engineer those websites.
Drupal Website Developer-Owner, Health Pro Web Designs, Carmichael, CA 2008-Today
I’m frequently doing the work of ten people....just not all at once. Switching roles from marketing, to sales, to architect, to consultant, to DBA, to bookkeeper, to graphics designer, to photographer, to module developer, to themer, to site maintainer, keeps the job interesting and rewarding.
Cabinet Design Engineer, Heartwood Cabinets, Gilroy, CA 2007-2008
While designing custom cabinetry is somewhat removed from software engineering, when not using CADD products like Cabnetware, and office automation tools, using Delphi 7 and MySQL, I developed software tools ( Cabinet Maker Manager ) which extends the capabilities of popular CADD software used in cabinet manufacturing companies.
CEO and COO, Craftsman Woodworks, Inc., Rancho Cordova, CA 2004-2007
As president and CEO of this high-end custom cabinet company, I was responsible for nearly every aspect of the daily operations of the company. During that period, I developed lead tracking and marketing plan software tools which keyed off of weekly ASCII data sets from Construction News Net.
Media Producer, Mainsail Production Group, Folsom, CA 2004
MPG was a highly talented and motivated team of video professionals winning contracts to create video pro-
ductions with and for the California Highway Patrol, the Folsom Tourism Bureau and others. My responsibilities included, producing, directing, writing, project management, video production, marketing and grant writing.
Software Engineer, California Dept. of Community Services and Development, Sacramento, CA 2000-2004
Working in a compact IT department of about 10 professionals, my responsibilities included the development of, enhancements to, and maintenance of several multi-tiered, multi-user, data based applications in a distributed environment. These applications managed participant information for low-income energy assistance programs.
Software Engineer, Electronic Freight Exchange (EFX), El Dorado Hills, CA 2000
I designed and wrote key modules for EFXit using Delphi. EFXit was internet based supply chain management software designed to increase the e! ciency and reduce the cost of shipping for vendors, shippers and carriers.
Education
California State University, Sacramento - Business Administration, MIS concentration
Professional Summary
I’m an easy mannered, team spirited, and results driven Drupal website developer and business professional. I’ve mixed my extensive background in business with my years of software engineering and Drupal development to bring about a blend of creative talents and technical skills which I enjoy presenting and practicing in every project.
Sean Lange
Sean had always been a graphic, technology and web design hobbyist. Several years ago the desire to be involved in something faster paced and cutting edge than local government pulled Sean away from a 20 year career as a Recreation Professional. Over the past 3 years Sean has become an quality Drupal Developer and now spends his days writing code, debugging browsers, and enjoying every minute of it.
In 2009, Sean became a full-time freelancer/small-business when he officially started his own company 'webthingee' and has had the opportunity to work with large corporations like Intrax as they began to develop all their new web properties on Drupal. For some social networking sites like WallStreetOasis.com, chattersource.com and yoursphere.com) helping develop and improve their web applications. With other developers on smaller projects. And recently he was able to bring his skills to Lullabot as a contractor.
With a background in staff development, training, and community outreach it has been important to Sean to find opportunities to reach out and be proactive in the Drupal community by blogging, speaking at Design for Drupal and BadCamp in 2010, and providing some presentations and a upcoming training/presentation with WebEnabled.com.
When not knee deep in code, Sean spends time with his family (daughters Bethany & Jadyn, and wife Julie) usually playing games and enjoying the terrific San Fransisco East-Bay Area weather (usually swimming). When he finds a minute to himself it's often a chance to squeeze in a little guitar playing or some XBox.
