I really love this new module idea. Right now i am using Drupal 5,7. So,i can't use this module. I would like to use most likely Bio module or Node profile and collect the user information using CCK fields. Is it OK ? I mean i would like to use this module after my site code upgraded to 6.X. is that right approach ? or should i wieght ? My guess, once if i have this module, i just need to re-assain CCK fiels to content type related to this module. Am i right ...or too much imaginations ? Please advise me

Which module are you refering to? You just keep saying "this module" without ever saying what you're talking about. Since this is a general group, not an issue queue, it's not assumed... :)

Hello, Nodeprofile exists
Hello,
Nodeprofile exists now, for Drupal 5.7 : http://drupal.org/project/nodeprofile
With that said, I'd recommend using Bio as a solution now, as it is easier to set up. Moreover, Views2 (for Drupal 6) has some features that expand what is available re users within views.
Cheers,

Huh?
"Profile as node" is not a module. It's the name of this group, which is for discussing the profile as node idea. There are three modules for doing profiles as nodes: bio, nodeprofile, and content profile. The first two are for D5. The last is the successor to nodeprofile (and possibly bio - still being decided) and only on D6. Both nodeprofile and bio will have upgrade paths to D6 so use whichever one you like.

Sorry Michelle. Still i am
Sorry Michelle. Still i am in that Drupal learning curve and overhelmed by too many modules ..too many choices for the same thing required . Just landed from Joomla here. Joomla modules are more organized and rating & user comments makes it clear on modules functionality. Here so many duplicate modules (waste of so much energy) and the descriptions for those modules are on Develpers perspective than end user perspective. But still i love drupal...so much flexibility here....
...
No need to apologize. :) Hopefully the different modules are clearer now. If you're looking for rating & comments, see http://drupalmodules.com.
