Empty paragraph killer module

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I've created a filter module I call "Empty paragraph killer" (subtitled "Because sometimes users are over zealous with the return key"). I couldn't find such a module anywhere and so did one myself as an exercise and it does what I need it to do - removes any instances of empty paragraphs i.e.

or

.

In my experience, this is a common occurrence on sites where WYSIWYG modules are enabled. The users often hit return twice at the end of a paragraph, instead of once.

Does anyone here know if such a module already exists?

Here is my github repo for review - I'm in the process of applying for my d.o CVS account at the mo.

Can you paste your cvs application link as well? I think is an interesting module.
