Hi all,
at a recent Drupal meetup, where Ben Holt gave a great talk on hosting/server setup and we discussed hosting, someone at the meetup mentioned that they specialized in building Multi-language websites.
Right now, I'm losing most of what little hair I have left fighting with building dynamic argument driven views using taxonomy in multi-language sites and I was wondering if that person was available for some consultation?
It would be great to have some help on this and it might even be a wonderful topic for a future Drupal meetup. If you know who you are, or anyone in the group knows who this person is please contact me.
Regards,
Colin

Hair is a terrible thing to waste
Colin, I think you may be remembering me, Jim DeLaHunt (jdlh at jdlh dot com).
Hair is a terrible thing to waste. Let's see if I, or the group, can help you.
I have a stock presentation on multilingual Drupal (and Joomla!) websites. The most recent version, from the 2010 Internationalisation and Unicode Conference, is posted at http://jdlh.com/en/doc/2010/tutorial_drupal_joomla_iuc34.html . It doesn't talk about dynamic argument driven views using taxonomy, but it does list the basic modules you need to build a multilingual site.
I gave an earlier version of this presentation to the Vancouver Drupal group. Dale recorded and uploaded a video (thanks Dale!): http://group42.blip.tv/file/1841905/
I hope that's a good start for anyone trying to make a multilingual site. If there are questions, I'd be glad to try and answer them, in the group or off-line.
