Rackspace Hosting has begun offering meeting space to local Open Source project groups in the San Antonio area. As a recent Racker, I have inquired and been informed that it may be possible for us to meet at Rackspace if we are interested in doing so.
This would likely be at the Castle location (I35 and Walzem, old Windsor Park Mall). As it would require some coordination I would like to find out what the interest level is in having our monthly meeting at this location.
Additionally, I would like to find out if there is a day / time of the week that is more convenient as I would like to see participation increase.
We presently meet the third Saturday of the month between 1 and 5 pm.
Changing this to a Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday Evening would be more beneficial to me going forward.

I work weeknights, so I would not be able to attend. And Sunday evenings are reserved for family get-togethers. But if more people prefer that, I guess you would just have to mail me the meeting notes.
The new meeting hall sounds great, though. I still think we could be productive over a service like Skype, though.

Love the idea of meeting at Rackspace.
Those times are hard. I could do the Tuesday evening the best, if I had to choose. Jonathan, you're pretty essential to the group, I think. You have a deep knowledge of Drupal. I know I always learn a lot at the meetings. So I'm willing to stretch and meet on a week night if I have to.
I'd hate to loose Harry though, who is also very faithful to our group.
I suggest we hear from some others and see what people think.

Feedback received
Based on the feedback that I've received both here and via direct communication I believe that we are best keeping the meeting time at 1PM on the third Saturday of the month.
I will attempt to arrange for us to meet at Rackspace on the 15th, however, this might be a bit short notice. I should know more within a couple days.
Topics I'd like to discuss:
Best methods of group communication. Email, Drupal Groups, Run our own website, Text messages. All of these are options we should explore.
