Today we met in Fitou in our new cocoate.com office for the first Drupal group meeting.

Because we were only three it was interesting to solve "complicate" problems.
The first three hours we figured out how to configure a proper multisite environment with xampplite, wamp and Windows. The biggest problem was not the configuration but the im- and export of databases (complete other problem). So now we are very familiar with virtual hosts, MySQL, phpMyAdmin, php.ini, MySQLDumper, notepad++ and so on.
Then we talked about our projects in Drupal and "how to save the world" with Drupal. As you imagine we end up with nice food ...

It was a nice day and hopefully a good start for this Group. The next meeting will be at July, 22 2008, same place (Fitou), same time (10am - 5pm).
I discovered the possibility of wiki pages here in the group environment and I started our Tipps & Tricks Wiki.
Feel free to contribute as much as you can.
Now I have to go on with my Drupal 6 book ... See you in July.

not here - it rained all day :-(
So -
question 1 - Are we REALLY the only people using Drupal in the S/France?
question 2 - We are a geographical community - what should we be focusing on?
A small group could focus on lots of issues, not necissarily "geographic" ones... but - none the less - the meeting is "geographic"? - maybe we should "re-brand" and really focus on this issue of Drupal development environments - its very interesting?
(question 3 - who is this "we" thing - I didn't even make it to the meeting!!! )

It was raining in Fitou too :-(
question 1:
I created this group as Drupal Group Fitou. The admin of the system changed the name into South of France. I am not really happy with that because it is a large area and I don't want to bother the real Drupal France group.
My Intention was to build a "Drupal Gang in a Radius 100km around Fitou"
question 2:
Since I am in France I like personal meetings :-) so my focus is on that meetings

I like your idea a lot. Im still supprised there are only 4-5 people in 100km of Fitou... But - ok :-)
Anyway - I think by strange luck there seems to be one issue we all care about - so we should focus on that?
