I'm currently working on implementing moderation functionality to allow for hidden posts, and seperating newswires into 'free-for-all' and 'trusted users' in the hope of making quality content more visible, while still allowing open and anonymous publishing. I'm currently modifying the node moderation module to allow moderation of comments (and perhaps throw some AJAX in there for niceness).
Initially, this will be designed to let only editors or admins to moderate. Later I'd like to see it move to a more democratic/community driven system. Can I hear what existing admins/editors would want from a content moderation system?

Please share your code. This is a good idea. We really need to have a way to hide/moderate posts with our IMC, without completely deleting them.
very shortly
Am setting this up as I write; will have code and a guide real soon now
Indymedia needs a collaborative filtering system
I was an Italy Indymedia admin and I think that what is really needed to keep under control the enourmous amount of spam, fascist racist sexist messages that you can find daily on newswires, is a collaborative filtering system similar to one adopted on Slashdot.
