This will be the second of our get-togethers and hopefully will be bigger and better than the first!
Our first get-together was a very informal "hi, how are you" meeting on January 25 in Helensvale where 9 of us got to know each other.
To anyone new to Drupal or the having a little knowledge only and wanting to know more, we encourage you to come along and meet others with similar interests.

It was a great first meeting
I managed to make it to the first Gold Coast Drupal Group (I'm Darren from Edens Landing near Beenleigh), and it was well worth it.
A very special thanks to Matthew from Chicago, who not only spoke at Drupal Downunder, but also showed up at the very first meeting and shared a wealth of information (a big thanks to Jaymie and Rohan as well).
To all those thinking of coming along - definitely do it.

Varsity Lakes is good for me it is just down the road. I have been dabbling with Drupal since the introduction of Drupal 5 but it is still in a lot of respects a mystery to me however my business partner Saul is the guru in that department I just create content types and content and invoice the clients. Never-the-less I would like to get together with anyone who is on the Gold Coast to see what others are doing with Drupal.
Saul, is having a change of scenery for a few months and working from Argentina which has its problems however we are coping. We run a small business called PlexityNet which is ticking over nicely although in the near future we will not get rich from it, I doubt we are alone in that respect. Would love to attend but sorry to say but the flight back from Argentina is a little to pricey! Hope it's an enjoyable meeting and continues on the good start from the first one.
