Anyone using Zen for theming?

Hey, just general question about theme development: is anyone here using Zen? I've just started using it for a very specific project. I have an experienced Web dev who is helping me build the site and we spent some time poring over Bartik and Stark before settling on Zen. (We needed a balance between the pre-defined structure of Bartik and the very spartan nature of Stark.)

I'm hoping to compare notes with those who've got some experience with Zen.
Thanks!

Zen is the main theme I use

I am using Zen for practically every project. I can give feedback in you are looking for anything in particular.

There are days when I love and hate Zen.

One thing to note regarding version 2 of Zen. They implemented a TON of css files and you will run into a problem if you add your own overide css stylesheet into the css folder. Most browsers won't have a problem with it (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc.), but IE will choke on more than a certain number of stylesheets and you won't see the styling that you are adding into an extra stylesheet that you added into your theme. To get IE to "see" the extra stylesheet and your new styling, you will need to enable the Optimize CSS in your Performance page.

Hope this helps.

I've used Zen on a lot of projects. Some folks like it and others would rather build their own starter theme. There is a lot of cool stuff in Zen but if you don't need that stuff you might be better off building your own theme. It's not that scary and in some situations it is much easier than using a complex starter theme.
