Microsoft embracing open-source Drupal 7
I was at an interview yesterday and the director of the company seemed like he was getting hives from the thought of using anything but .Net but since microsoft taking Drupal seriously it will definitely make Drupal even more widely accepted.
Microsoft embracing open-source Drupal 7
While I am happy for this news I cannot help but ask why is Microsoft doing this? How does it serve their interest? Is this an attempt to ensure that their web server and cloud computing platform gets a bigger market share? Does anyone have statistics about IIS and Microsoft SQL Servers market share?
Microsoft embracing open-source Drupal 7
Is Microsoft really embracing Open-Source or are they really ensuring that they simply trying to assimilate and kill open source. I believe this article is more than a telling point about their stance and intents regarding open source. The Register reports that Microsoft give $100M to fight HIV/AIDS in India and $421M to fight Linux.

Does this shed any light on their intent?
