Hi,

I'm only new here so I apologise if my understanding of things is not correct.

I am currently developing a site for people with disabilities and am seeking a way to embed audio/video comments and blog posts on the site.

I have been looking at Red5 as a viable option to serve media files and am now looking at the services module in combination with XMLRPC, Flash and maybe Flex.

I am a little concerned about accessibility.

I was going to begin with a video/audio guestbook and see how that goes. Then I might look at building on the audio and video modules to create blogs and comments.

Has anyone else done anything similar?

Any help or suggestions would be great.

Thanks!

It is very simple

You can create your swf / flv / youtube style video and embed the content with a player. You can have a flash player which start automatically. I am using for my site FlowPlayer. Flowplayer already has a code for embedding the object in your site. If you want to see flowplayer check www.kiqlo.com go in the content gallery section and check for audio / video. At the moment they are just mp3 so you will not see anything, but I am planning to put a picture on top. You can download the player from www.flowplayer.org. If you would like to sell the videos / mp3 that you are producing use Kiqlo directly and get the embed object from there. I hope this helps

Audio module isn't accessible (yet)

The audio module doesn't validate yet. Probably should be built to be used in conjunction with SWFObjects.

Unfortunately, rarely are accessibility issues very simple.
