Hey Twin Cities Drupallers,
I'd like to start our own Twin Cities IRC channel. I've been using #drupal-mpls for a while, but I think it would be a good idea to be more inclusive of the whole area. So, I think using #drupal-tc as the official Twin Cities Drupal IRC channel would be a good idea. I think it'll be especially important to have "high-bandwidth communication" (in the words of Dries) in the time leading up to the DrupalCamp in May.
What do people think? I suppose you can also register your approval by joining the room :-).

Sounds good
See you there.

Let's finalize on a channel!
I'm hoping that we can stick with one of those and make it official. These have both been discussed, used, and (unevenly) documented, and they each bear some internal consistency. #drupal-tc is now the 4th option discussed, and while I don't have strong feelings, I would like to see us just pick one and stick to it.
Can we go with what we've already discussed? #drupal-twin-cities ?
Agreed "twin-cities" makes more sense
We talked a bit about this in the IRC room(s) on Saturday and then again this morning. There's a general consensus that #drupal-twin-cities is more recognizable and representative. No one in any of the rooms expressed an allegiance to a specific name over another.
I vote that we stick with #drupal-twin-cities which has some history and is more literal than "tc."
I can put a reference to our IRC channel on the group page introduction to let people know it exists (prevent future confusion) and invite people to go there . Then we'd need to hang out there more often to make it an inviting and active place to be.

I also agree
Let's make the move to the agreed upon convention and start using #drupal-twin-cities.
Moving on the general consensus
I took the initiative and updated the group page to announce our channel as #drupal-twin-cities. Let's start hanging out there to provide some local Drupal love.
I'll kick off a greater awareness of the channel this Friday during our Intro to Drupal session here at Advantage Labs. There are always some developers at our sessions looking to ask some additional questions and get to know more about the local Drupal community. Look for some new lurkers this weekend.
Thanks, unraveler, for pushing this to the fore again!
