Drupal Recon

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Hi Gang,

I spent most of my time at Drupalcon Chicago in BoFs, meetings, the coder lounge and Core Conversations this year, so I didn't make many of the session presentations. I figured I'd catch-up on those via recorded versions over at http://www.archive.org/ when I got back. So, I'm wondering if you all wouldn't mind posting your favorite session presentations here. It might be nice to cull a few of the favorites for a periodic showing at the local TC Drupal meetups too.

Thanks!

favorite sessions

I'm still quite new with Drupal, so my favorites might not be representative... but anyway:

  • Introduction to Module Development got me the right amount of "fired up"

  • Advanced Drush, the showing of what's coming even caught my "inexperienced" attention

  • How To Make Awesomesauce, mortendk wasn't nearly as offensive as I had been cautioned ;)

  • Git Phase Next, but mostly because of the demo of the drupal powered repository viewer

Tough call

I'll give this some more detailed consideration, but I must say I particularly enjoyed Eaton's "Platypus" session - not technical at all, but lots of big-picture, understanding the ecosystem/community-type stuff.

Key takeaways and session notes

jasonsamuels's picture

My focus at DrupalCon was on finding content related to website strategy from a business administration standpoint. Though there wasn't a lot of content related to that, what was there was very high quality. I wrote a summary with links to my fill notes at http://goingtodrupalcon.wordpress.com/2011/03/12/key-takeaways/

That's a nice rundown!
