User group meeting

Last month. At our April meeting, we shared a wide variety of information that we gleaned from Drupalcon Chicago:

  • Participating in code sprints, simpletest and best practices
  • Project management tool overviews like Chiliproject, Harvest, even Google spreadsheets
  • Hosting options at Drupalcon Chicago and attendee experiences at Blackmesh
  • Efforts at developing new, large modules in our group
  • And there was pizza!

May meeting. Drupalcamp Colorado is coming June 10 and 11. Several of our members are planning to submit presentations. If you're planning to do a presentation, our next meeting is the time for your first run. Add a comment here with the title of your presentation that you will be giving. (Mike, Caleb, Bryan, John and Ben: Are you listening?)

As always, bring your questions, problems, learnings and bragging rights. We all learn from one another.

UCCS. We're on the UCCS campus in room UC124 - the same room as our December meeting. UCCS tickets you if you even think of parking illegally. You can pay to park in the parking garage, park down the hill and take the shuttle, or it seems that UCCS alums have parking secrets on campus.

Parking

Bob Korbus reports that "Parking is allowed on the neighborhood streets across Austin Bluffs after 6:00 PM which works for our meetup."

We'll bring the pizza this month, so come hungry.

My Session

mpotter's picture

I have submitted my session: http://2011.drupalcampcolorado.org/sessions/not-so-silly-tricks-content-...

This is mostly the Nodes-in-Block presentation that I made to SCUG several months ago, but will go into more detail on some additional modules that can make your site better for Content Managers. I'll also cover some D7 updates.

I'll talk about it for 5min at the meetup, but since you've already seen much of the presentation already, I'll spare you a repeat. Go vote for it!

Not quite prepared to present

Not quite prepared to present my session, but I would love to show off some feeds stuff that's pretty cool.
