OK Hermann Park Fish Fry was a great idea, but we forgot Sunday the 8th was Mother's Day, and have to figure something else out. Anyone have ideas / suggestions, throw them in here. Thanks.

How bout we try the 4th Thursday in May? Thursday seems to be the preferred day, or according to the few who responded.

I read it the same way you did the first couple of times and then realized Katherine meant the 4th Thursday in May which would be May 26th.
I'm confused
Is this to reschedule the going away fish fry for Jason's family, or to reschedule the May HDUG meeting? Or, are we going to have the two TOGETHER? Actually, that MIGHT not be a terrible idea, if we could get CarCollective to let us use their "back yard" for the fish fry.
Just let me know.

Back from Atlanta
Hi all, back from Atlanta and jumping back in. The trip was good, we went to stone mountain and CNN HQ (during the Osama newsrush) and found a few places to rent until we find a house we're happy with. If anyone is familiar with Atlanta, would be interested in some feedback on the Druid Hills and Decatur neighborhoods.
Regarding the fish fry, it was my attempt to unload some of the fish I'm catching Saturday. I've never done it before and so I naturally assume I'll be catching thousands of pounds of fish. If we aren't doing something within a few days of the 7th then the fish fry is out (I don't want to keep the fish that long). I'm happy to go along with any other suggestion, and we had talked about a trip to the zoo perhaps for a change of pace.

Good luck with the zoo idea: I don't think they'll take fish with hooks in their mouths. Better luck catching thousands of pounds of fish: if you need a tip, a tried and true, widely documented technique is to cast the net on the other side of the boat.
I hope that whatever pans out I get a chance to see you and your family off. You've personally been a big help in my Drupalness and a good friend with some late night banter as the nights required it.

I had always thought the net would go OUTside the boat. Casting it to the INside will give me the benefit of everyone else's labor.

Now the parable makes good sense! There must have been at least one fish in the boat, and the more they cast the net, the more they thought they caught!
