We are exploring OpenScholar as a possible solution for faculty project websites for one of our clients. We have it installed and are playing around with different options. We want to be able to add our own content types/features and have them available within the OpenScholar Control Panel UI. We also want to add our own themes and disable the default themes. We are running into some interesting issues with adding content types/features and I'm wondering if there are good resources out there that we can tap into (human or otherwise). Thanks in advance.

Hi Bill - Though the framework is different in some ways, I found that the Build a new feature resource for open atrium was a good primer on getting started with features, contexts, and spaces. It won't match up entirely with scholar, of course, but it does provide a good intro. Not sure if that is what you are looking for.

The group for open scholar - http://groups.drupal.org/openscholar - is also a good place to go.
