Stopping ripping.php automatically via cronjob? .cue file automatically deleted?

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could stop ripper.php automatically through a cronjob?

Also, is the .cue file supposed to not delete itself automatically? Do I need to setup a cron job to delete that?

the .cue file serves as a signal that the rip is still in progress. the import code won't import mp3s with a .cue file. if they're not getting removed it might indicate another problem.
