Greetings all. I'm here in a desperate attempt to find help.

Minnesota Artists for Equality is a non-registered non-profit organization (and when I say organization, I'm talking about four professional actors who are doing this in their spare time). We're looking to create a searchable online database of statewide artists who are willing to volunteer their time and talents to join the fight for equality. We will be starting with opposition to the proposed constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman.

Unfortunately, none of our founding members knows anything about publishing a decent website.

I'm here because we found one person who is using Drupal to lay out the database for us, but we're going to need to tie a website to the database and want seamless design integration. He's not sure how to do that, but he mentioned themes. He also mentioned finding a Drupal forum. So here I am.

We're desperate because this is a volunteer operation. There's no money in this job. We're hoping to find like-minded web designers who feel as strongly about the anti-equality amendment as we do, who are willing to donate their time - maybe consider this project like a demo or resume stuffer. Today we shot a 60-second professional quality TV commercial with filmmaker pros who volunteered their time. We're hoping some of you might feel the same.

We don't need anything fancy. A homepage. Some pages that describe who we are, what we do, and what we believe. We want the database to look like it's part of the site. Maybe some kind of forum so people can talk to each other. We need the database operational, in any form, by 6/23/2011.

Is this the right place to find someone who might want to help us? We're flying blind here. Please contact me directly with interest or information about how we might proceed here or elsewhere.

Thank you,

Adam Whisner

Hi Adam,

I would be interested in helping with your project. I am just starting out with one site replication on my local machine. I do have time in the evenings and would be able to meet your deadline. My phone number is 612-239-8057.

Sam
