Hi Guys,
I am just starting out developing with Drupal and wondered what sort of level most of the guys in this group are at?
I am familiar with php, mysql, linux etc but the site I am planning to build at the moment will be my first drupal site.
Just wondered if I would be a burdon to the group/meet ups or if it would be a good idea for me to get involved.
I will also be looking to pay a local drupal developer to work on certain aspects of the project and certainly with the initial setup (e.g use of available modules etc.)
If you could let me know a little more about the meet ups etc you have and if anyone would be interested in getting involved in this project. I can explain more if necessary.

You certainly wouldn't be a burden to the group! We have all sorts of ability levels in the group, so please feel free to come along and ask whatever Drupal questions you like - you're more than welcome!
I'm sure James will be along shortly to confirm when the next meeting is :-)

I finally managed to attend my first meeting with this group last month. Attendees were at all levels of both web and drupal development. Questions were welcomed from any level and the group split up in the second half to discuss topics that were of particular interest to people. You will happily find help and social interaction from the group. I'll happily help you set up your first site; It's a steep learning curve but well worth the trip
