Is there anyone in the Drupal UK community worth to carry the Olympic torch? I believe this could be an excellent opportunity to recognize the work of the most dedicated Drupal community member in UK and to promote Drupal to the general public.
We must agree on a candidate before the 29th!! (deadline for Olympic torchbearers nominations).
I believe this should work like this:
- Set up a way to nominate UK Drupal members, with their achievements,
- Vote the nominated candidates (we must be very very fast as the torchbearers nomination ends up the 29th of June 2011!!!),
- Go and nominate our candidate in the official website (http://www.london2012.com/games/olympic-torch-relay/carrying-the-olympic...).
It would be a very nice event to announce at the DCLondon.
So, any candidates?
