Apologies for all the recent posts to this group. Hope I'm not spamming people. I had some other questions/ideas that I wanted to ask
1) Local Ambassadors Page (http://groups.drupal.org/local-ambassadors) - I was looking through this and wondered how is this sorted/organized? Currently it seems almost random. I had hoped it might make some of the "key players" more evident, but the people I consider influential in certain areas don't really seem to be evident on that list. Some thoughts I had were:
- Giving weight to people who organize multiple events
- The description says "currently organizing": is there weight/ordering based on how soon the events are happening? Once an event has finished, does the ambassador still stay on the page? or is it rolling like the upcoming events block?
- Any weight to different types of events?
- It might also be interesting to include the ambassadors location under their name, or maybe group them by location.
- Also, it would be useful to make this page more visible - perhaps a link from the front page or the user navigation? (I'm aware of the redesign, but this could be an easy intermediate addition)
2) Revisions for wiki pages:
You can obviously edit wiki pages and add log messages (and similarly for other content types) however, without being able to see the revision history it kind of hurts some of the usefulness of the wiki pages. Since people don't get updates about a wiki change, there is no real way to know what has been changed between the updates. To go along with this, I would like to see the diff module available as well. Perhaps there is a reason why revisions are either not stored or not visible to users?

Local amabassadors
Earlier this year I started looking at how to help local group organizers. We conducted a bunch of interviews and had a few meetings. One piece of feedback was that local organizers needed to be recognized. So Acquia funded some development to make the local ambassador's page.
As far as I know the page is simply a list of users who are listed as organizers in events. Most recent first. I think your request for feature enhancements are interesting, but the only one I am interested in is how to make it more visible. If you want to make a suggestion about where the local ambassadors page should go, I suggest you add it to the Drupal redesign flickr group and link it back here. We don't have to wait for the redesign to make changes.
Here is the issue with the patch if you want to make some improvements, they are welcome. http://drupal.org/node/275951
Thanks for your thoughts. Good luck on your event.
Cheers,
Kieran
