Can't get any better then this. Acquia adopts the Omega theme for its web site reboot. In a just published article Acquia tells about the redesign effort for their site. The article contains lots of interesting information about the redesign process
Congratulations!

EPIC WIN!
I totally understand why!
Mobile is going to be interesting for sure. But it always is. Not sure there is yet a "Drupal Mobile Framework" as such. But as far as I can see Omega is filling the void. More please and big congrats. We've been nothing but amazed by the Theme. Very very stable and the use of SubTheming as standard is a great way to develop and edit without killing off core functions.
Way of the future.... way of the future... way of....

I'm happy to answer any questions you might have.
Mobile & Rotating Image Galleries & More.
For the main site. - Very early version available here www.bedfordtw.co.uk we want to have a rotating gallery.
We were wondering a few things. How do we get this to convert (possibly into static promotions) on a mobile site.
How do we get different images to render (sadly not all can be done in HTML/CSS.) What are the considerations and how do we setup Omega for this.
We couldn't be any happier with the Theme. Really impressive and intuitive - but I think we're not in a position to explore it as much as we'd like given our deadlines.
Bottom line is this, we'd rather adapt Omega for Mobile than have to re-build a new theme. I think this makes us efficient as a provider - so Omega for Mobile would become configuration and any extras in the mobile version would then be customisation.
Hope that makes sense.
Thanks Jesse! I can't wait to see how Omega looks in another 6 months.

The rotating banner is a tough one since the JS is being added by a views plugin. What I would probably do here is keep the rotating behavior and progressively reveal the text as size allows - meaning it would be hidden at a mobile sized viewport.
The responsive images issue is really tricky. There are some good experiments out in the wild, but nothing that I've seen that really solves this problem. Check out Scott Jehl's Responsive Images approach (sorry, I can't provide a link because the spam filter is triggering due to the link to github. I logged this as [#1224600]. Here's a Drupal sandbox project as well.

Jesse, if you're at Drupal Con London 2011, IOU a beer.
Thanks for the heads up, its been causing us some severe headaches and we wanted to create something for it. Will def check out the projects. Much obliged!
We've looked at using browser triggers e.g. IOS, to then define resource calls, but it gets messy fast, but not in detail yet.
Thanks and keep up the great work on Omega, I keep finding little - "hmmm Clever..." aspects to it. Clearly a lot of thought went into it. Its quietly changing the way I think about Drupal Theming.
Also it plays remarkably well with views pre-theming which is a rare pleasure!
One other question. We've been running some YSlow tests and Firebug NET and DOM speed evaluation. We love coding in multiple stylesheets, any risks of crunching them down to fewer in a live environment? Is this recommended practice for Omega?

Are you running the latest
Are you running the latest version of the theme? If my memory serves me correctly, fubhy whipped up some cleverness around caching. We still need to maintain separate files within each @media declaration, but files within an @media declaration can be combined.
And if the conditions of an @media declaration are not met, those resources aren't downloaded, so you save bandwidth on smaller devices.
Using 3x.
Using 3x. Will have to check this out in more detail. At the moment we're updating about every 2 days and haven;t yet supercharged D7 for full production. If you have any links for the Caching would be great.
We've worked out some tricks for the Social media stuff to stop the endless JavaScript pageload calls and cache stuff where possible.
I'll look into the Cache stuff ASAP. As said IOU a beer!
