Here's my suggestion as to what items should appear on a Kid Friendly Drupal administration page. Using a graphical layout similar to Control Panel module or Root Candy administration theme (but even more comical)
Content Management
- Content
- Comments
Site Building
- Blocks
- Themes
User Management
- Users
Reports
- Recent log entries
- Top search phrases
Site Configuration
- Error reporting
- File system
- Site information
- Site maintenance

Should we take wikipedia's
Should we take wikipedia's approach and treat children like a new language? It would be interesting to make a translation for "Basic English"...
"Site Configuration" would be something more like "Change Things" (keeping the words small and digestible means pulling from the famous 850 simple word list).
"Reports" might be "History"
"Content Management" might be "Make Things"
So you get the idea of the problem we're going to have making an interface for children who have just learned how to read...
