Can you believe it, September is upon us. Time to make plans to attend the September Twin Cities Drupal meetup. This month, Joe Shindelar (aka eojthebrave) will provide a compact and entertaining demonstration lesson on "How to Build a Module." Come explore module building basics including insight into when NOT to build a module.

And that's not all! One lucky attendee at this month's meeting will walk away with a copy of the just released The Definitive Guide to Drupal 7. This invaluably hefty tome includes a chapter by local Drupal heroine, Allie Micka! If you ask nicely, I'm sure she'll autograph it for you...

Also on the docket for the meeting:

  • notes from Drupalcon London from the folks who represented the Twin Cities in the UK
  • your questions and announcements
  • pizza (of course)
  • your favorite beverage (of double course -- if you bring some to share)

I always enjoy hearing you speak Joe, and I took some new pointers home with me last night (not the least of which being snowman_alter() Only local images are allowed. )

My first, but certainly not last, TC Drupal meet-up. A thoroughly enjoyable evening. Thanks to Adv Labs for hosting. Thanks to Joe for presenting. Who do I have to thank for pizza and great non-alcoholic drinks? Whoever you are, thanks!

Really helpful meeting. The presentation was better than @ many paid conferences... with great group discussion and emergent knowledge too. And thanks for the book! Everyone, buy the book "The Definitive Guide to Drupal 7" by Allie Micka and others.
