Organic group initial steps

  1. Install OG

  2. Create a new content type.During this step, select Group node under organic group title.

  3. Configure settings for newly created content type as below:

    i. Goto {your_url}/admin/og >> OG Content types.
    ii. Click Site wide settings.
    iii.Select all the unselected content types under Allow , Require headings.

  4. Thats it, now you can create new nodes(as groups) for new content types created.

Hi,

we can work on various concepts with organic groups, first of all it can be used as a group community pattern, first install a organic group, create a content type as group node, then use forum module as group post , and you can have group community, you can start a group discussion with these two content types. If you want you can create a view for above and theme the group landing page will give you more look and feel.
