Replacing the query engine

Hi,

I have just had a flash of brillance/madness (40% brillance/60% madness) and was wondering if it is possible for a top level table to replace the query object with a completely new type. Which may or may not need to actually be a data field.

and example would be to replace the query object with a flickr object so that you can query flickr for different images based upon criteria which is past.

excluding caching you would not need to store any data locally. So if you have a story which is linked to Melbourne you could have a view which will pull images out of flickr which are of Melbourne randomly and display images.

Flickr is just one example but with RDF (another engine) starting to be built we could extend views to be able to pull data from many many different sources.

It is actually a little mind blowing.
