Drupal Geolocation Maps
Learn how to plot locations on a map in Drupal. Alex Davidson will show how you can plot locations on a map and use search to allow people to find nearby items. Using the Gmap module, location module, and geocoding, we can built a map on which we can search for locations. Through a series of checks, we're able to search for zip codes, states, and even cities. Failing that, using Google's api, we can ask Google if it understands the search and it will return a geocode for the location. This allows us to build the dynamic maps such as those found on hungryhowies.com and soupersalad.com.
ASU Branding Module
Maximo Mena Vasquez and Marcus Anthony will demo their new ASU Branding module. The module makes it simple to brand any Drupal 7 theme with the ASU global header and footer, allowing ASU themers to take advantage of the hundreds of Drupal 7 themes at http://drupal.org/project/themes
