CCK with Views does not show certain fields unless logged in as admin

I have been searching the forums/groups/blogs for the last 2 days but cant seem to find anything to help, maybe Ive just overlooked something obvious.

My Issue: Ive created a view that pulls in 2 fields called Name & Occupation. While logged in as Admin these fields print out perfectly, no issues. Once I log out they dissapear. The body prints fine, the file names that are attached print perfectly into their img tag. When using Devel I can see the array that contains the data I need, but once logged out, when I print_r the array, its all gone. Ive attached a screen shot of what it looks like when I am in as admin.

Ive checked my view settings and there are no access restrictions. Is there something Ive overlooked that maybe is a common issue?

OK, well I guess it was a permission issue, I totally forgot to check the user permissions for drupal. Seems that anonymous users didnt have access to view the newly created fields. Lesson learned... ARRRGGHHH!!

This is why I love the Internet. If you can express your problem, chances are someone has already done something about it.

Sheanhoxie, your the man!

After reading your posting, I went to User Permissions and noticed that every new field I made with CCK was showing up in the permission matrix and defaulting to "no Permission."

Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

I can't be grateful enough. I was at the point of banging my head on the keyboard. THANKS A LOT FOR THE TIP!

Even thou' i think this is kinda silly to have each field have separate permission settings. Wouldn't be more logical to apply permissions to the custom content type in which those fields are?

There comes a point (I've

There comes a point (I've certainly had use cases) where I need certain roles to see a field and others not to. Trust me, it'll be a godsend one day! :)

If it becomes a problem, and you don't see the need for such functionality, just turn off (modules > CCK) "Content Permissions" module which comes with CCK.

Beware, it's a bit of work to do it later down the line if you decide you need content permissions again! :)

Hope that helps.

I have two CCK modules I am using Field Permissions and Content Permissions. Turns out somewhere along the way Content Permissions was turned off and made the site a little buggy. Now all roles can see and edit the fields they need to. Thanks!
