www.meetup.com/drupalgroup : SSO, Multisite, OpenSAML, Shibboleth and integration with Enterprise authentication systems IN Drupal (Fri Oct 28th, 5 PM to 7 PM)

SSO (Single Sign ON) and Multisite configuration is gaining more importance than ever and we will discuss the pros and cons over this and many other peripheral features.

Evolution of browsers and integration capabilities gives not only navigational conveniences but many more reasons to understand various methods to design your web ecosystems.

Kieran Lal, Technical Director from Acquia, will share info on how to incorporate Shibboleth authentication into your Drupal 6.x or 7.x site with the Shibboleth Authentication module.

This would be suitable topic for individuals and organizations willing to empower cloud applications with security and convenience by using their local authentication, attribute, and authorization infrastructure.

This session will cover points on how Shibboleth builds on OpenSAML and SAML 2.0 to deliver a large scale multi-lateral deployment of secure web applications with both robust user authentication and simple authorization features.

You may expect to know about:

What are federated identity and Shibboleth?
How Drupal, Shibboleth, and OpenSAML work together
Benefits of using Shibboleth for federated identity
Tips to get started building secure federated web apps in the cloud
Shibboleth and Drupal are becoming solutions of choice for many large universities, enterprises, and government organizations.

Session 2:

Ramesh Chaudhary: is a sr. Consultant and Solutions Architect, he has been programming and managing project delivery for large and enterprise level deployments, he has successfully delivered multiple projects with Drupal in many shapes and sizes in addition to many other platforms.

His knowledge on QA, project management and databases is commendable, this session will be supported with a demo of multisite configuration and will be addressing facts and executions challanges.

Thanks again to our sponsors UCSC Extension and Halosys on behalf of entire user group.
