Hi, First post in the CRM
Hi,
First post in the CRM group -- we've got a couple customers very interested in doing CRM in Drupal, moving from other CRM solutions into a more integrated platform. As well as us -- we currently use SugarCRM but find it a bit heavy for our needs -- we're looking to streamline and simplify, and have "just enough" crm. Missed the call on Friday, but will try to make the next one...
This post intrigued me because I hadn't actually seen the workflow stuff that Sales Force is doing -- and we've got a particular interest in data visualization. We wrote the Views Graphviz Style plugin for a customer (http://drupal.org/project/views_graphviz ) , which shows a logic model of nodes wired up in relationships in a view, in a graphviz diagram. We also have done a fair amount of work with the Dojo Toolkit javascript library, which has some great support for in-browser drawing, with objects backed by an in-browser data store.
So we'd love to work on a visual representation of workflow rules to start with, and making it more interactive as a second step (assuming we can find clients to sponsor the work).
Regarding workflow in SugarCRM, there isn't much in the Community Edition -- that's one thing they reserve for their Pro offering, so I can't speak to much about how it works.

Have watched a couple of the Maestro videos, and yes, this does look like what I had in mind for a workflow editor. Cool! I'm curious to see how much it leverages the other power Drupal modules -- I'm not seeing anything about Views integration, for example.
We have a sales prospect we're talking to right now where Maestro might be a great fit! Thanks for the pointer...

I don't know much about meastro myself but the guy who made the module is mapleleaf on IRC and tends to hang out in #drupal-crm so if you come online you could probably ask him.
