There's an important API discussion going on in the WSCCI sandbox regarding using anonymous functions for the Context API. Itself it's self-contained to the Context API, but as it would be the first major use of anonymous functions/closures in Drupal, if you want to weigh in on that front that's the place to do it.
We will likely be discussing it further real-time during today's WSCCI office-hours, 13:00 US Eastern Time in #drupal-wscci. (Remember that daylight savings time just ended in the US, so adapt accordingly!)
