We have pleasure in announcing that the next European DrupalCon will be held in Paris this coming September.
Following a week long code sprint in Paris working towards the migration of Drupal.org to Drupal 6 Dries and his team announced late last Thursday evening that the next European DrupalCon will be held in Paris in early September. The whole proposal team plus approximately another 30/40 members of the French Drupal community were gathered together to hear the announcement, the air was filled with "très biens", "félicitations" and "incroyable" all washed down with some Dutch beer and Pizza to add to the European feeling.
The hard work is just about to start, we have just seven months to organise this huge event, but as it's a European DrupalCon we invite the whole of Europe to participate. The success of the event entirely depends on the the time and effort contributed towards it's organisation, development, sponsorship, promotions and attendance.
So if you work with Drupal, your company works with Drupal or you just have fun with Drupal consider this a 'first call' to spread the word, volunteer time and expertise, sponsorship and most importantly, pencil in your diary "First week of September, busy having fun with Drupal in Paris".
The actual conference will be a great opportunity to meet people, generate business, further your Drupal expertise and your standing within the Drupal community, but don't forget that the effects of these can be increased greatly by participating and contributing to the organisation of the event.
