I am new to Groups.Drupal and had just gotten on to post a request for Mentorship /Sub-contractor when I found the DrupalMentor BayArea group. I truly wish that I had known that this group existed as other than attending the Lullabot Theming Class in October, I have been learning Drupal on my own. I have now subscribed to the feed and look forward to attending upcoming meet-ups. Thanks to all who have made this forum possible, and to those who are willing to spread the knowledge! Please read over my next post to see if you can help me!

Thanks again and I look forward to giving back in any way I can in the future!

Regards,

David Brix

Glad this is what you were looking for! This is mostly a peer-support group of users, generally not as techie as the folks you'll find on Drupal Bay Area. The "mentors" you'll find here (like myself) usually put in time during the meetups to answer questions for basic site maintainers / tinkerers. So it sounds like the right place for you to come for yourself, to learn more about how Drupal functionality. From reading the project description, though, Drupal Bay Area (where your original post is) is going to get you the best bang for your buck. The level of person it sounds like you're looking for is a bit beyond most people who come to DrupalMentor (mostly users / tinkerers here).

Personally, I don't have all the skills required, but could get pretty far on your list - however, I'm full up for the next few months. (You might find that the case for a lot of folks. :-))

Nonetheless, stay tuned for our next get-together (in Jan?) - and swing on by! More info will be posted here - usually not too far in advance, so it's good to turn on notifications in "my subscription."
