Learn Drupal Site Building For Communication & Ecommerce

Merritt College is teaching an online education short course using Moodle and Drupal's Open Outreach.

This course is a 4 week hands-on website course for building websites that can communicate a message and advertise and sell a product.

During this class we will be building a website using as our starting point, a ready-to-go, pre-configured, Drupal 7 distribution Open Outreach.

"Open Outreach contains features frequently used by organizations such as events calendars, image and video handling, and ways to engage with members, enabling small groups with limited budgets to become more independent in setting up and maintaining their own website" Source: http://openoutreach.org

NOTE: Merritt College or teachers of online class are not creators of Open Outreach, for more information visit http://openoutreach.org

Only local images are allowed.

About Open Outreach

Open Outreach is developed by two Drupal experts Nedjo Rogers (a Drupal contributor since 2003) and Rosemary Mann, and is one of the best examples of a general-purpose Drupal distribution. Although every Drupal distribution is different, Open Outreach is the second most installed Drupal installation profile (distribution) and probably nearly all the things you will learn using this product will help you with other Drupal projects.
http://drupal.org/project/installation+profiles

"Open Outreach is a Drupal distribution written to provide grassroots, activist, and nonprofit groups with the web tools they need for effective public engagement. Open Outreach contains features frequently used by organizations such as events calendars, image and video handling, and ways to engage with members, enabling small groups with limited budgets to become more independent in setting up and maintaining their own website. By making Drupal easy to use for small groups lacking technical staff or resources, Open Outreach will help groups to make the move to open source. " http://openoutreach.org
