Aimed at people wanting to learn from scratch how to build and manage a complex website in Drupal, this is a 7-day stay in the south of France, in the Roman town of Uzes on the Provence border, including a 5-day intensive Drupal course. The event runs Sunday to Sunday.
Day 1 (Sunday) is orientation and sight-seeing, days 2-6 (Monday to Friday) are taught from 9:30am to 5:30pm, then the evenings are yours and Day 7 (Saturday) is a final day of sight-seeing/relaxing before heading home on Sunday.
The course itself covers (depending on the level of the delegates attending - this is flexible, but we must teach to the lowest common denominator and will clarify precise itinerary to all delegates before finalising bookings):
- HTML/CSS/JavaScript
- Basic PHP
- Basics of Drupal
- Drupal setup and configuration for Linux and Windows
- Module and theme selection for popular uses
- Advanced use of the Views and CCK modules
- Theme development
- Module development
Accommodation is provided in the form of a holiday apartment, on site, that sleeps 4 (three people dormitory-style and one sofa-bed in the living room). We also provide a hire car for the week that all delegates (who meet the rental criteria) will be insured on, for your use. Breakfast and lunch are provided but dinner is not, except for the first night, though cooking facilities are available or you can take the car or walk in to town and go out for dinner.
The cost is £1,250 (+VAT for UK people - others must provide proof they are not UK resident) per delegate, minimum of 2 delegates required for course to run, maximum of 4 delegates. You must organise your own travel to the region, but we can collect you from wherever you arrive, within reason!
Interested? Contact me via my contact form. There are no specific dates as yet, so if there is enough interest for a given week the course will run.
