I live at 50km from Milan, about 230 km from Venice. I don't know if I could come, but what are you willing to do exactly?

Yes, I am a little crazy I guess. But then I have an excuse to charge the trip to my business account :-)
I will be in Venezia 15-April to 27-April. I've been talking with some people and if there is interest, I will present a "Drupal 101" type event. I do a lot of training and consulting and really enjoy introducing users and developers to the Drupal world.

Well, at this moment there's not a drupal italian association, we're organizing something just this days, I have to talk to other users to see what we can do. Have you got ideas for a day and a location?
I will be in London on 24 to 26 april, so i can't help if you wanna do something on that dates, but if you are interested we can guess something for 18-19 april, even if time is running fast and there are only few days remaining.

Oh i forget...
I think that the easier way to make this event possible could be taking advantage from a Linux User Group.
They're the most active information technology associations in italy, maybe they could already have a location and an audience. When talking about free software they're always interested. I propose that because we're lacking of drupal users in Venice.

Good suggestion. What about web development shops? That's an audience I am very comfortable with - as I'm not really an uber-coder. I'm more of a master drupal generalist/architect.

Really, i don't know if...
Really, i don't know if there is any development shop that works on Drupal in Venice...in Italy we know that there are only about 20 company that works upon Drupal, so it could be hard to find.
I'm thinking about your possible audience because you speak english and here we speak italian (not enybody speak english well here, mee too).
Do you wanna target this for developers or for common people?

Yes, it'll have to be in English (il mio Italiano e terrible, e miscelato con Spagnolo che parlo meglio!)
Ideally I'd like to target web shops and web developers that haven't been exposed to Drupal, but are curious to learn more.
