I'm the webmaster for the Miami Gay Men's Chorus and we've been using phpmyticket, a dead php project. A few people have spun this off into fusionticket. Since drupal has many more options when it comes to nodes and views and I'd really like to create something similar to the assigned seats function in drupal. I'm willing to put in the work, however I'm more of a themer and need some hand holding getting into this project. This would be a boon to many non-profit performing arts groups that have the need for assigned seating. Any suggestions and or help would be greatly appreciated!

Better late than never
Sammy,
You have hit on something that is very near and dear to my heart - the arts. I would love to develop tools arts groups can use to embrace open source, reduce overhead costs and better serve their patrons.
I don't know if you've gotten this figured out yet, but I'm just a car ride away, and I would love to help.

Unfortunately I couldn't get
Unfortunately I couldn't get things working to my satisfaction and had to stay with their third part software (phpmyticket) for that particular project. As a hard core theater/drupal geek I still would like to get this figured out. :-) I'm an html/css guru, but a bit laking in the php world. I'll totally be willing to help if someone out there will be willing to do some mentoring! I'm really into drupal and would like to try and get some drupal street cred.
On the flip side, I have a new non-profit project I'm working on for an independent cinema. They don't need assigned seating per-say, but I think it might be a nice use case to add to the distribution.
Solution?
Did you guys find something that works? Just started working with Drupal and as a not for profit theatre company...we are looking for a ecommerce site to integrate with our Drupal site that is in the process of being built!
