Drupal E-Commerce Project?

GasmanDesign's picture

Sorry, accidentally hit the return key!

Anyways, do any of you know whatever happened to the new Drupal e-commerce project that a team of expert programmers were talking about at DrupalCamp Twin Cities?

I tried to go back to the DrupalCamp site and schedule, but I think the class was added at the last minute.

I don't have any notes on the project & not sure what to search to get a progress report?

If you know what I'm talking about please send me any info.

Thank you,

Corey

A bit more context would be

A bit more context would be helpful, but there are 3 overall frameworks for E-commerce with Drupal:

  • Ubercart was the go-to cart management system for Drupal 6, and is still supported for Drupal 7.
  • Commerce is supported by some of the original Ubercart developers, and takes a much more Drupal-native approach. Most folks recommend using Commerce if you're doing any sort of commerce in Drupal 7, since it's generally considered to be Ubercart's successor.
  • The Payment API is my project, which aims to de-couple the complexity of a cart system from the complexity of payment integration. The goal is to write backend support for the Payment API so that you could use it for something as complex as a cart or as simple as a one-page donation or signup form without duplicate efforts.

I presented the Payment API at DrupalCamp, and there were probably some other presentations on the other systems.

Hope that helps!
