User group meeting

Agenda. For our March meeting:

  • DrupalCon Denver logistics. Any ride sharing, get-togethers not to miss, BoF's (Birds of a Feather) sessions to keep in mind, Q&A and other insider information.
  • Content Manager Tips and Tricks. I have been asked to cover both basic and advanced topics surrounding being a content manager for a Drupal site. WYSIWYG's vs. other content editing alternatives. Content approval strategies. Exploring what a content manager's responsibilities should be vs. other roles. Experienced Drupalistas, please come with your experience and viewpoint on best practices for content managers as there is not always one "right way" to do things.
  • Best Practices using git. We'll start from scratch and then share how we use release control to solve sticky problems. Keeping code out of your database. Content migration.
  • Advanced Topics. Please bring your tough problems and perhaps even how you solved them.

Date and time. We we convene on Tuesday, March 6, at about 6:30 pm and the program will start at 7 pm.

Location. We are back in one of the public meeting rooms at the PPLD East Library.

Last meeting. Many thanks to Bryan Jones and James Swainston for their presentations in our February meeting. If anyone wants to learn more about the LDAP and GIS processing implementing employee and citizen login dashboards, see:
