There are 20 seats available at next week’s San Francisco Semantic Web Meetup on the topic that will feature Jeff Walpole of Phase2. Jeff will discuss the work Phase2 has done bringing semantic technologies into Drupal sites, working with RDFa and more. In particular, Jeff will showcase OpenPublish, a new and free publishing platform based on Drupal 6.
Visit this link http://www.meetup.com/The-San-Francisco-Semantic-Web-Meetup/calendar/101... to RSVP for the event. The event is free, but you will need to join Meetup in order to participate.
If you can’t make it to the event, here are the relevant links for two easy ways to get started:
1.) For an existing site ~ take a look at the Calais Collection of modules for Drupal from Phase2 Technologies here: http://www.drupal.org/project/opencalais
The ‘More Like This’ module, for instance, makes it easy to present related or recommended content to your readers from within your site or others.
2.) For a new site ~ take at the new OpenPublish, a Drupal installation from Phase2 and the Calais team with the publishing community in mind at: http://www.opensourceopenminds.com/openpublish
OpenPublish offers out-of-the-box functionality and a powerful set of features like automatic topic hubs free of charge. At the same time, its use disseminates best practices for publishing sites throughout the open source community.
