Doug Gough of ImageX Media will be teaching us the basics of creating a Drupal module. Use some of the most common Drupal API hooks, such as hook_user, hook_nodeapi, and form_alter to create a basic module that reacts to changes to user information. Create a theme function to style the output of the module.
Please RSVP if you'd like to join us.

I'll try and make it, but it would be good to see this session repeated at the Vancouver meetup in the coming months.

It would be good to have you Kevin. But if it doesn't work out, drop Dale McGladdery (torelad@drupal.org) a line as he may be able to line it up.

Vancouver carpool?
This sounds like a great session. I have been working with Drupal modules for awhile but I lack some details on the functions mentioned in the post. I too would like to see this as a Vancouver session.
Alternatively, if anyone is interested in coordinating a rideshare/carpool to Surrey please let me know. I'm in the Mount Pleasant area. Unfortunately I do not have a car so if no other options are available it might be the Skytrain + bus for me.
If you can make it to the
If you can make it to the Surrey Central station, I'd be happy to shuttle anyone to the meetup location.
