Hi there,
I am getting back to Drupal after about 3 years. Starting with minor bug fixes here and there.
And since I have some amount of time at hand I am willing to volunteer into these:
Drupal 6 based website
English only would be better, I have no idea of the Internationalization or Localization modules
Existing or Fresh new project
Could include some custom module (code must go back into Drupal)
Could include new theme (again, it must go back to Drupal), but I do not graphics so that needs to be supplied.

Please contact us if you have Drupal experience in building forums and interest in designing a unit for uploading music, pdf, and image/quicktime files. This is an exciting education project that gives student publication credit. Some funding is available. vvi@comcast.net

Hi brainless!
We have a site that connects breaking news with opportunities for service that was developed to spec by a design/dev company in NYC. We find ourselves close to completion but with a short list of fixes/improvements that need to be made for a beta release and are out of funding at the moment.

If you have time/are interested in helping out, I can send you our bug list and functional requirements list with which you could be a big help. The site is a nice mix of core Drupal functionality, customized themes and modules and some interesting Java (for the news and action placement and the recommendation engine).
If we can get this stuff done, I think the site can do a lot of good in the world. And any value we can abstract from the site will be returned to the Drupal community.

Project at a NYC non-profit theatre serving homeless children!

www.ActorsTheatreWorkshop.com is a static html site that lives on a hosted environment. It was recently upgraded from html to xhtml. The short-term vision, Phase 1, for the site is to transfer it to Drupal. The non-profit organization would like to limit the dependency on a web developer for minor changes to the website and enhance the functionality of the site quickly with built-in Drupal modules. For a volunteer who is committed, the volunteer position could extend to include implementing the long-term vision is to redesign and rearchitect the site altogether and build the new site within Drupal as well.

Position Summary: The Actors Theatre Workshop seeks an experienced Drupal developer. The volunteer will set-up a Drupal environment on our hosted web environment, replicate and transfer the current static html site in Drupal, build a theme, and train staff on how to use the Drupal interface to update the site. The volunteer will help recruit volunteer staff with the appropriate skills for a full redesign and rearchitecture of the site. The Volunteer Drupal Developer will report to the Internet Media Marketing Manager, who is a professional web developer.
Required Skills:
• 1+ years of experience in Drupal development.
• experience with PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS and MySQL.
• Self-directed individual that can work indivually and with teams.
