Without having sufficient information about this issue. it is bit hard to figure it out. Can you explain how did you get this error. Before getting this what did you do? Did you site work properly before? what is your browser? Web server? .. etc

If you mean with Drupal, then check for Apache / Nginx 504 or 502 errors. Some helpful information should appear in your server logs.
The usual message is: "The page you are looking for is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."
This is because the FastCGI server has not been started. [PHP-FPM].
Set the log level of php-fpm to debug to further investigate the issue.
