It’s another year and you know what that means — it’s time to start thinking about getting together with your friends, partners-in-crime, and co-workers from Ohio and beyond at Drupal Camp Ohio.
This year’s Drupal Camp Ohio, in partnership with the Ohio State University, will take place over 2 days: November 30 and December 1, 2012, returning to the Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H at The Ohio State University.
Yes, you read right — following the success of last year’s inaugural event, we have expanded our program to two days. This year we’re also adding code sprints (it is Drupal, after all) and increased support for ad hoc attendee-organized sessions (Birds of a Feather). Last year we had 200 attendees and speakers from all over the Midwest. Attendees learned about all aspects of Drupal, from the basics of setting up a site to techniques for making the best custom Drupal site possible.
With this year’s extended format and improved offerings, we have expanded our space at the 4-H center, which means we can accomodate more attendees. So tell everyone you know to put it on their calendar. This year’s event will bring together 250+ Drupal developers, designers, and users all learning and teaching Drupal, and building community over good food and drinks.
Finally, we need your help. Join our team (http://drupalcampohio.org/about/staff) and help us make this the best event it can be! We have bi-weekly meetings at noon on Thursdays (starting May 3). We will be calling into a conference port, so no need to drive to a meeting. We need help with all aspects of organizing the event: marketing, site development, sponsorship acquisition, finding speakers, after parties, etc… Just ping one of the organizers or use the contact form on the site (http://drupalcampohio.org/contact) and we’ll get you set up.
