June will be our last meetup with presentations until August since our July meetup is purely an outdoor gathering at a restaurant/bar. For this special occasion we decided to have round 2 of our "Server and Performance Day". Server nerds Matthew Lechleider and Andrew Kucharski are back along with new speaker Greg Palmier.  We lined up three presenters about exciting server technology in the Drupal world plus updated trivia questions!

Duo Consulting opens doors at 6:00pm for attendees to arrive, socialize, and hang out before meetups.  We try for presentations to officially start by 7:00pm. Comment your RSVP with full name and bring photo ID to gain authorized access to Duo's office downtown.

Presentations:

  • Trivia and VOIP-Drupal by Matthew Lechleider
  • Auto-scaling Sites using Chef on Amazon Cloud by Greg Palmier
  • Stress Tests with Loadstorm by Andrew Kucharski

Matthew Lechleider - is a product of the Nintendo Generation. He has spent 10 - 15 hours online every day since before the Internet was cool. He enjoys speaking at conferences, skateboarding, music festivals, Linux and Drupal. Organizing the Chicago Drupal Meet Up Group is one his favorite aspects of the Drupal community. Matthew provides high performance Drupal development and training services as PhamilyDev.net.

Greg Palmier - is an electrical engineer turned System Administrator with about 2 years experience.  I've been working with Drupal for the last 6 months and joined Promet to help improve automation and deployment to cloud platforms.  I've been approaching my work to best bridge the gap between developers and sysadmins by getting the tools they need more rapidly deployed and reduce pain points in the project life-cycle.

Andrew Kucharski - is the CEO and founder of Promet Solutions has more than 15 years of technical and project management experience from startups to Fortune 50 firms with industry experience in banking, telecommunications, government, and association technology management. Mr. Kucharski's eCommerce experience dates to 1998 with the implementation of highly scalable enterprise solutions for telecommunications providers.
