Enabling additional PHP extensions

Hi

Firstly let me say how impressed I am with Quickstart. I'm new to both Drupal and Linux so without Quickstart I'd probably be still pulling my hair out trying to get a dev environment configured. Thanks. Great work!

My issue is, as the title says, around enabling additional PHP extension. I'm want to try out the Drupal LDAP module which is dependent on the LDAP PHP extension but it appears that this is not part of the default Quickstart config. I've poked around the file system and php.ini files in order to find out how I'd enable this myself but it's set up different from other PHP installations I've worked with and I didn't want to go hacking away if quickstart provides a better way to enable the module.

Really sorry if this seems like a real stupid question.

Thanks ahead.

I installed the amd64 version. I used the following drush installed command: drush qc --domain=test.dev
