I'll be a no show
I was looking forward to this meeting but won't make it due to a scheduled code deployment at work. I was wondering if it would be possible to do a live screencast for those who are interested to attend but can't make it to the meeting for whatever reason. Just a thought.
Not going to make it...
Project went into production last week and this week it is ramping up with the normal startup problems.

I could maybe try recording
I could maybe try recording at least the audio and the screen, and post it to YouTube later. I might also try setting up my iPhone on a tripod, but we'll see.
I have a skype conference
I have a skype conference room mic I could bring.
Totally forgot about skype.
Totally forgot about skype. This may be the easiest solution.

They provide free screen sharing. With join.me you can allow other participants/viewers to take control of your machine. However, I'm not sure if audio is being shared. We can do a test run and see how it works out if you're up for it.
Setting up the tripod, recording the video, audio, and editing it sound like a lot of work. I'd hate to be the reason for any roadblocks during tonight's meeting but if you think it can be done with ease why not. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry about it.
We could try a google
We could try a google hangout. I've seen other groups that have done it in the past.
Sorry I didn't get a screen
Sorry I didn't get a screen sharing thing going on, but I did record the talk and slides; I'll make sure the sound is good, I'll cut down the length so you don't have to hear five minutes of introductions, and I'll stick up the video on YouTube or somewhere.
Update: Just posted the video
Update: Just posted the video of the presentation up on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wl1iKol8Ff4 (sound actually turned out pretty well!).
Great presentation. Thanks

No problem! Also, somebody
No problem!
Also, somebody mentioned during the June meeting that they'd be interested in doing a Drupal ladder lesson during future meetups. I think it would be an awesome idea if we did this.
Each lesson could probably be presented in less than 10 minutes, maybe a little longer, and then we could talk about other things, or go a little deeper in that lesson.
What does everyone else think?
I could volunteer to teach a couple of the ladder lessons, but it would be good to have a mixture of people (especially a few people who use Windows or Linux) to help as well.
sounds good
I check the ladders out a bit more after the meeting, and saw that the Drupal ladder, the page you link to, directly addresses some of the questions I had regarding how I might go about installing Drupal 8 and testing patches.
I would be interested in seeing a few of these covered.
This is just a thought I am throwing out, because I am certainly not qualified to teach this, I would just be learning: but if we only covered a couple of topics a meeting, it would take some time to even get through the very basic rungs. Would anyone be interested in taking a Saturday sometime, and going through this in a more concentrated manner?
